In short referred to as MIM, Metal Injection Molding is also termed as Powder Injection Molding or PIM. It utilizes standard injection molding machines and some metals like from alloy steels to nickel alloys to cobalt alloys and stainless steel.
Applications: Few products of PIM are used in a commercial, dental, industrial, aerospace, medical, firearms, etc.

1. Reaction Injection Molding:
Reaction injection molding in short referred to as RIM is very much alike injection molding. But in this type of molding process thermosetting polymers are utilized.
And this polymer needs a curing reaction to happen inside the mold.
Except thermosetting polymers are used, which requires a curing reaction to occur within the mold.
Applications: Few products made with the assistance of RIM include fenders, air spoilers, automotive bumpers, etc.
