What is a ductility? 

Ductility is a measure of the material’s ability to undergo plastic deformation without breaking. Ability to be drawn into wires (from the rod stage) is an example. The area under the stress-strain curve is a measure of ductility. More the ductility of a material (usually a metal), more the energy absorption in the material being subjected to stress.
